JUNE 16, 2017 CAREERS xxxv
One of Canada’s oldest and most enduring business associations, the
Canadian Bankers Association works on behalf of over sixty domestic
and foreign banks operating in Canada, advocating for sound policy and
regulation, consumer protection and financial literacy, and ensuring that
Canada’s banking system remains a stable pillar of the country’s economy.
As current and emerging legislative and technological changes continue
to affect Canada’s banking industry, the CBA faces new and exciting
regulatory and legal challenges. In this time of accelerating change, the
CBA is looking for a new General Counsel and Vice President, Consumer
& Business Policy to guide the organization through this shifting landscape.
The ideal candidate will have at least fifteen years of extensive banking
and regulatory experience, a keen sense of the trending topics in Canadian
banking law, and the vision, skill and execution to lead the Legal division
and work hand in hand with its members (and the Canadian banking industry
at large) further into the future; fluency in French will also be considered an
asset. This is an excellent opportunity for an established banking regulatory
lawyer to not only be at the forefront of the industry, but to have a marked
effect on its development.
For more information on this opportunity, please submit your CV to
Warren Bongard at firstname.lastname@example.org. Ref. #OR26960.
This is an exclusive search with ZSA Legal Recruitment. All CVs sent to the Canadian
Bankers Association will be redirected to ZSA.
