Orders LAWYER MATTERS
Law Society of Upper Canada (“the Law Society”) for failure to file
her Continuing Professional Development (“CPD”) hours.
• Between March 16, 2015 and April 1, 2015, the Respondent
practised law while she was administratively suspended by
the Law Society for failure to file her CPD hours and pay a
corresponding late filing fee.
The panel orders:
1. The Lawyer shall be reprimanded.
2. The Lawyer shall pay costs to the Law Society in the amount
of $1,000 on or before May 25, 2019. Commencing the day
following the deadline for payment, interest shall accrue on any
unpaid portion of costs at a rate of 2% per year.

The Law Society alleged that Aram Ryu, 2008, of Toronto, committed
professional misconduct.
The panel determined that the following allegations were established:
• The Respondent failed to cooperate with three investigations of
the Law Society by failing to promptly and completely respond to
communications from the Law Society.
The panel orders:
1. The Respondent is suspended for 6 months commencing
immediately and continuing indefinitely thereafter until, to the
satisfaction of the Executive Director, Professional Regulation of
the Law Society, he has provided a complete response to the Law
Society’s requests made in the three investigations.
2. The Respondent shall comply fully with the terms of the Law
Society’s Guidelines for Lawyers Who Are Suspended or Who Have
Given an Undertaking Not to Practise while suspended.
