In this proceeding concerning William Charles Hoskinson, 1972,
considered the issue of costs.
The panel orders:
1. The appellant shall pay costs to the Law Society of $42,900,
inclusive of HST, payable within one year of the date of this Order.
Commencing immediately after that date, interest shall accrue at
2% per year on any unpaid balance.

The Law Society alleged that Mustafa Liyakatali Jaffer, 2009, of
Toronto, committed professional misconduct.
The panel determined that the following allegations were established:
contrary to Rule 3.01 of the Paralegal Rules of Conduct (pre-
October 1, 2014), when he entered a guilty plea with respect to a
provincial offence, contrary to Client a’s instructions to dispute the
offence, which instructions were communicated to the owner of
behalf of Client a, contrary to Rule 4.01(9) of the Paralegal Rules
of Conduct (pre-October 1, 2014), in that he failed to:
(a) advise Client a of the prospects for an acquittal or finding of
(b) advise Client a of the implications and possible consequences
of a guilty plea,
(c) ensure that Client a was prepared to voluntarily admit the
necessary factual elements of the offence charged, and,
