An exciting opportunity to provide legal advice and support to all RBC Capital Markets,
Investor & Treasury Services (I&TS), and Wealth Management businesses in Canada
on the resolution of actual and potential disputes, including client complaints and
demands, securities/regulatory inquiries and proceedings, domestic and multijurisdictional class actions, employment matters, complex arbitration and commercial
litigation, and sensitive regulatory and internal investigations.
What will you do?
• Provide substantive and strategic advice and counsel for the resolution of
actual and potential disputes, formal legal proceedings, regulatory enforcement
matters, and internal investigations for RBC’s Capital Markets Investor &
Treasury Services (I&TS), and Wealth Management businesses in Canada.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in litigation and dispute management, especially
• securities litigation, employment litigation and class actions
• LL.B. or J.D. and member in good standing with LSO
• Effective and persuasive written and oral communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple competing matters effectively in a fast-paced
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in French an asset

Employee Relations Advisor
Reporting to the Director, Global Workplace Policy and Labour Relations, you will
provide advice and counsel to Human Resource professionals and all levels of
management on employment related issues. Your exceptional ability to listen,
influence and build partnerships will allow you to resolve problems and manage
risk. In addition, you will provide interpretation and guidance on the delivery of
workplace policies, recommending updates and enhancements as required. With
employees located throughout Canada, you will have a firm understanding of
federal and provincial employment legislation as well as experience with
administrative hearings and civil litigation. You have an LL.B., J. D. or equivalent
and have a minimum of 4 - 8 years of law practice in either private practice or
in-house with a Fortune 500 company. The ideal candidate will have a degree in
Industrial Relations or a CHRP designation.
