Senior Legal Counsel, Mergers & Acquisitions and
Strategic Transactions – Toronto (8+ years)

Our legal department is an integral part of our success. Our lawyers work closely
with various business groups, providing advice on a broad range of issues. We are
presently seeking to hire a lawyer at the Senior Legal Counsel level for our Toronto
location. The successful candidate will work within the existing Legal Department
on domestic and international corporate M&A matters as well as joint ventures,
divestitures, and private equity investments. Under general direction of the
Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel, the incumbent will assist on
structuring, drafting and advising on highly complex transactions around the
world. Applicants must possess business acumen, be team-oriented, be a graduate
of a recognized law school with excellent academic records, and have corporate law
experience from a top tier firm or reputable corporation. The position requires a
high degree of analytical and communications skills, and a thorough knowledge
of the corporate M&A area of law. Private equity experience would be desirable.
Some travel will be required.
