Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes) is seeking an experienced professional to join
the Toronto office as Counsel, Student Programs and Diversity Pipeline Initiatives.

Reporting to the Director, Legal Personnel & Professional Development, the
Counsel, Student Programs and Diversity Pipeline Initiatives, will be responsible
for all aspects of the Toronto office’s student program, including recruitment,
performance management and professional development of law students.
Responsibilities will also include a focus on inclusion and pipeline initiatives with
a goal of assisting in the attraction of individuals from diverse backgrounds to
the practice of law in a business law firm. Blakes will support the learning and
development of the successful candidate.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
• An LL.B./J.D.
• Preferably several years of practice experience
• Demonstrated interest in recruitment, development of people and diversity
• Strong organizational skills, an innovative mindset, developed leadership
skills, confidence in their written and verbal communication skills, the ability
to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team across the Firm
