The Law Society alleged that Barry Polisuk, 1988, of Toronto, committed
The panel determined that the following allegations were established:
in writing in a real estate transaction in November 2010, contrary to
subrule 2.04(6.1) of the former Rules of Professional Conduct.
transaction, contrary to former subrule 2.04(3).
supervise staff in the November 2010 transaction and a January 2011
transaction, contrary to former subrule 5.01(2).
mortgage in the January 2011 transaction.
The panel orders:
1. The respondent’s licence to practise law is suspended for one month,
effective August 1, 2018.
2. While suspended, the respondent shall comply with the Law Society’s
Guidelines for Lawyers Who Are Suspended or Who Have Given an
Undertaking Not to Practise.
3. The respondent shall pay costs of $25,000 to the Law Society, on
unpaid balance at the rate of 3%.
