SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL
The Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) is a federal crown corporation based in Ottawa,
assisting in the development of export trade. CCC is a dynamic organization seeking to recruit a
Senior Lawyer, Legal Services to provide legal and strategic advice to help Canadian exporters secure
international contracting opportunities. CCC is offering an opportunity to work on highly varied
international projects and contracts across multiple industry sectors.
Reporting to the Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, the ideal candidate will
have a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B./LL.L.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.), must be a member of a Canadian law
society, have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in providing client-focused advice on capital
investment projects, corporate-commercial transactions or complex contracts, excellent legal and
communication skills, strategic business acumen, a demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and
strategically identify risk, and will be a team player able to build relationships across functional
teams. Bilingualism is highly desirable as is an ability in a third language.

The successful candidate will be teaching in classroom, computer laboratory
and field settings in the Business School. He or she will participate in program
and course development, course modifications, program advisory committees,
program accreditation, applied research initiatives, community outreach and
on-going future program needs.
