The Law Society alleged that Sandra Bonnie Majic, 1998, of Hamilton,
committed professional misconduct.
The panel determined that the following allegations were established:
•;Contrary;to;rule;7.1-1;of;the;Rules of Professional Conduct, the
Respondent failed to respond to the Law Society regarding a client
complaint by failing to provide a prompt and complete response to
oral and written requests from the Law Society between January
2018 and April 2018.
•;Contrary;to;both;subsection;49.3(2);of;the;Law Society Act and rule
7.1-1 of the Rules of Professional Conduct, the Respondent failed to
cooperate with an investigation of the Law Society regarding a client
complaint by failing to provide a prompt and complete response
to written requests from the Law Society between May 2018 and
The panel orders:
1. The respondent shall be reprimanded in writing after the time for
appeal has elapsed unless the parties advise that they waive their
rights of appeal.
2. The respondent shall pay costs to the Law Society in the amount
of $1,500 on or before November 16, 2019. Commencing the day
following the deadline for payment, interest shall accrue on any
unpaid portion of costs at a rate of 3% per year.
